I have had the opportunity to work with leading global corporates like Mckinsey & Company and Rand Merchant Bank. I have served more corporates as a management consultant and investment banker across several countries.
I have also had the privilege to start a food processing business based in Nigeria. The food processing company took me to different parts of the world, from Nigeria to the US, Vietnam, India and the EU.
Across the various roles in corporate and as an entrepreneur, it was evident that the winning formula was clarity plus execution.
As an investment banker, I executed corporate transactions over US$5bn in the areas of financing, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. I established and managed the FirstRand Bank representative office in Nigeria.
In 2013, I led the effort to secure a merchant banking license to set up Rand Merchant Bank in Nigeria, including developing the strategic vision for the bank and the recruitment of the key hires for the organization.
As a management consultant in McKinsey & Company, I implemented performance improvement & turnaround programs using lean network principles, developed expansion strategies, performed operational diagnostic assessments focusing on the operating system, performance management, mindsets, and capabilities as well as designed the organizational structure and operational processes for several African & global businesses.
I was working on my startup food company. I raised capital to get the business going and established the company as a quality certified wholesale processor and branded snacks business with sales in Nigeria, the US, Vietnam, India, and the EU. I successfully designed and executed business development strategies that created consumer cashew brands easily recognizable in supermarkets and outlets across Nigeria.
I am committed to driving change in society through equal access to education and co-founded ‘Teach for Nigeria’, a Not-for-profit organization committed to ending education inequality in Nigeria by ensuring that every child, irrespective of economic background, has access to quality education. I sit on the board and serve as a finance committee member.
I have a first degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and earned my MBA in 2004 from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University USA. I also have a Master’s in Telecommunications from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA.
I am a certified executive and business coach and a black belt Lean Six Sigma Expert.
